Though many of us may not realize the grave disparities that exist in our own communities, people struggle with hunger in every county and congressional district in Colorado. They could be our neighbors, kids in our children’s classes – the possibilities go on.
In Colorado, 566,490 people are struggling with hunger – and of them 155,120 are children.
On November 19th, 27J’s Intervention Services department partnered with Food For Hope and ThornCreek Church to provide food boxes to 75 27J families to receive assistance for the Thanksgiving holiday through an annual event called Feed 5000.
Thank you to 27J’s Intervention Services team for partnering and working together with these organizations to provide food assistance for those struggling with hunger. #27JProud
