Weld County Sheriff’s Office searching for owners of stolen trailers
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the owners of two stolen trailers recently recovered by the Strike Team.
The Strike Team recovered three stolen trailers in total, including a triple axle Featherlite horse trailer, a red Blair horse trailer and a flatbed trailer that had all identifying information removed. Although deputies have identified the owner of the Blair trailer, they are still searching for the owners of the flatbed and the Featherlite.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit also is searching for the owner of a blue 2007 Dodge Ram pickup, which was used in another incident to steal a trailer from a storage facility in Windsor. Although the trailer has been recovered, more than $40,000 worth of tools remain missing.
The owner of the Dodge is believed to be a transient. The pickup was last seen in Greeley or Evans.
